Golden Gate Park Band
When the Golden Gate Park Band was formed in 1882, San Francisco was still a very young city composed of many diverse immigrant communities. Throughout the Band’s history we have partnered with many organizations and featured themed concerts that celebrate the various cultures that are part of San Francisco. In this way cultural traditions are shared publicly for the whole community to enjoy. We are part of the proud heritage of San Francisco as a city of inclusivity that celebrates the heritage and cultures of the people that make it their home.
