Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
Three decades after Ledbetter Heights introduced Kenny Wayne Shepherd as a teenage guitarist from Shreveport, Louisiana, he returns to the album that launched his career. The record blended fiery blues playing, pop-rock hooks and a deep respect for the blues tradition, earning early critical praise and platinum certification.
Shepherd’s 30th-anniversary project is a faithful re-recording of the original 12-song collection, with refined arrangements and more nuanced guitar work while retaining the album’s intensity. The accompanying tour features the complete album along with a second set of highlights from his 30-year recording career.
Since his debut, Shepherd has earned six Grammy nominations, multiple platinum and gold certifications, two Billboard Music Awards and two Blues Music Awards. His catalog also includes work with The Rides alongside Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg, as well as a recent collaboration with blues artist Bobby Rush.
