Laura Anglade

October 28
Laura Anglade

Brooklyn-based jazz chanteuse Laura Anglade is one of the most captivating storytellers in vocal jazz today, an international touring artist whose conversational style forges an intimate connection with her audience even on some of the world’s great stages.

Originally from the village of Brousse-le-Château in the south of France, Anglade grew up in the US and spent several years in Canada, and her performances reflect those roots: rich in simplicity, an appreciation for the past and a sense of wonder in ordinary moments. Her interpretations are shaped by legendary voices including Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, Michel Legrand and Barbra Streisand. Her 2022 release Venez Donc Chez Moi earned a Juno Award nomination, and in 2023 she received the Prix Opus for Jazz Concert of the Year. She has headlined festivals across the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK and Europe, reaching renowned stages including Paris’s L’Olympia, London’s Royal Festival Hall and New York’s Town Hall, and returning regularly to the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. She has also toured in support of Melody Gardot and Gregory Porter.

Anglade’s third album Get Out of Town arrived May 23, 2025 to wide praise. She was featured on Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show Me Music” series performing the Rodgers & Hart standard “Manhattan,” and has performed at Winter Jazzfest in New York.
