Mark Hummel’s Blues All Stars w/ Anson Funderburgh & Junior Watson
Grammy-nominated harmonica player Mark Hummel brings his Blues All Stars to Yoshi’s Oakland for a release celebration of Road Dog, a new collection of original songs, traditional blues covers and previously unreleased recordings. The album pairs Hummel’s commanding harmonica work with an all-star lineup of respected traditional blues musicians.
Joining Hummel are Texas blues guitar standout Anson Funderburgh and West Coast blues guitarist Junior Watson, whose combined credits span hundreds of recordings and collaborations with many of the genre’s leading artists. Together, the band delivers a night rooted in classic Chicago, Texas and West Coast blues traditions.
