Meredith Willson’s The Music Man
There is trouble in River City when fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill cons the town into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he promises to organize—even though he cannot tell a trombone from a treble clef.
His plans to leave with the money are complicated when he falls for Marian, the town librarian. Meredith Willson’s six-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy features songs including “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Trouble,” “Till There Was You,” “Pickalittle” and “Gary, Indiana.”
