Jacqueline Berger (Jackie) is professor emerita of English at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. She has taught literature and writing for over thirty years. She is also the author of four books of poetry, including The Gift That Arrives Broken, winner of the 2010 Autumn House Poetry Prize, and Things That Burn, the 2004 winner of the Agha Shahid Ali Prize.
