Zadie Smith in conversation with Sam Fragoso
Zadie Smith joins writer, filmmaker, and podcast host Sam Fragoso for a conversation about her acclaimed fiction and essays. Smith is known for emotionally rich stories, vivid dialogue, and a distinctive perspective on contemporary culture. Her debut novel, White Teeth, won numerous awards and was included on the BBC’s list of 100 most influential novels; later books include The Fraud, On Beauty, and NW.
Her recent essay collection Dead and Alive examines the postcolonial world, the loss of influential writers, and the meaning of “the commons.” Fragoso created the long-form interview podcast Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, distributed by Higher Ground Productions, and is a frequent contributor to Fresh Air.
