The Pete Escovedo Orchestra
Legendary Percussionist Pete Escovedo is an artist who broke down barriers between Smooth Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz and contemporary music. His name has been synonymous in the music industry for more than 60 years.
Grammy winning “Lifetime Achievement Award” percussionist Pete Escovedo, formed the supergroup AZTECA in 1970 with brother Coke Escovedo. This 16 piece band toured with Stevie Wonder and The Temptations.1972 Pete toured with Carlos Santana and recorded three albums, “Moonflower”, “Oneness” and “Inner Secrets”. In 1978 Pete and daughter Sheila E. recorded two albums on Fantasy records “Solo Two” and “Happy Together”.
Pete’s children Sheila E, Juan, and Peter Michael are all professional musicians, as well as solo artists. They have played, recorded, and toured with literally every top Artist in the industry.
