Syleena Johnson
Grammy-nominated R&B and soul singer Syleena Johnson brings her powerful voice, emotionally direct songwriting and deep grounding in classic soul to Yoshi’s Oakland. Her career includes the Chapter album series, Rebirth of Soul and the women’s empowerment anthem “Woman.”
Johnson’s collaborations span Kanye West, Common, Anthony Hamilton and other major artists; her performance on “All Falls Down” earned a Grammy nomination. She is also an author, talk-show host and health-and-wellness advocate.
