2027 Founder’s Concert
Four Seasons Arts’ 2027 Founder’s Concert commemorates Dr. W. Hazaiah Williams, who founded the organization and became one of the first African American presenters of classical music in the United States.
Beginning in 1958, Williams presented hundreds of concerts throughout the Bay Area and beyond. His work advanced racial and cultural integration, broadened classical music audiences and expanded opportunity on the concert stage.
This year’s concert features the New Century Saxophone Quartet: Michael Stephenson on soprano saxophone, Chris Hemingway on alto saxophone, Stephen Pollock on tenor saxophone and Drew Hays on baritone saxophone. The ensemble is known for polished, energetic performances and a wide-ranging approach to the saxophone quartet repertoire.
