Isaiah Williams: Zay’s Notebook

Isaiah Williams: Zay’s Notebook explores Black identity and the politics of Black hair through large-scale paintings and digital illustrations. Louisiana-born artist Isaiah Williams welcomes visitors into a vivid world of hair salons, personal expression, and manga-inspired imagery.
The exhibition considers hair as culture, community, and a site of identity while bringing Williams’ energetic visual language into AAACC’s third-floor hallway gallery.
