Jamaican vocal trio The Meditations brings more than five decades of reggae history to The Freight. Ansel Cridland, Danny Clarke, and Winston Watson first broke through with “Woman Is Like a Shadow” before establishing their reputation through the albums Message from the Meditations, Wake Up, and Guidance.

The group’s distinctive harmonies led to collaborations with producer Lee “Scratch” Perry and backing-vocal appearances with Bob Marley, including “Punky Reggae Party.” Their performance connects foundational roots reggae, spiritual message music, and the vocal blend that made them internationally admired.
