Via del NewLit: Opening Night Benefit Dinner
New Literary Project opens its Rising Roadshow with a benefit dinner at Via del Corso in Berkeley. Chef Peter Chastain hosts the NewLit community and Erika Krouse, the 2026 Joyce Carol Oates Prize winner, for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, wine, and conversation.
The gathering includes the premiere of Rising: NewLit ’26, the film accompanying this year’s campaign. The benefit supports NewLit’s work with writers, teachers, and young people through fellowships and free writing workshops.
